Sullivan Banjos
Desert Rose Musical Instruments is proud
to announce we have been appointed the exclusive
Japanese distributor for the great Sullivan
line of professional banjos.
We are also the ONLY appointed distributor of the popular priced
Sullivan FESTIVAL banjos outside of the manufacturer.
Bill Sullivan, First Quality Music, Founder
and President has been involved in the repairing,
restoring and recreation of the Mastertone
banjos of the 1930's for over thirty years.
First Quality Music is a subcontractor for
a number of the major banjo makers, supplying
key components to their production. In addition,
Bill has been responsible for some of the
most important tone ring advances of the
last twenty years.
The Sullivan Banjo represents the summation
of the years Bill has been involved with
the five string banjo. The craftsmen at First
Quality build each banjo with care
and attention to detail second to none. The
highest quality seasoned hardwoods from around
the world are used, with emphasis on
selecting the most beautiful examples of
each species. These banjos are designed with
inspiration taken from the great flathead
banjos of the 1930's. They are a professionaly
crafted instrument delivering professional
sound and playability.
The banjos feature the exclusive Sullivan
torch inlay on the bound ebony head, and
matching fingerboard inlay. All banjos are
nickel plated with Waverly tuning machines.
A custom designed Sullivan Flathead tone
ring and zinc one piece flange are perfectly
fitted to a maple three ply rim. In addition,
each banjo comes with a Presto tailpiece
and Snuffy Smith bridge. All banjos are shipped
in a custom TKL hard case.
All Sullivan banjos come with a transferable
lifetime warrantee covering materials and
craftsmanship. In addition, our Japanese
customers can rely on Desert Rose Musical
Instruments for all your warrantee needs,
and qualified set up and adjustment of your
banjo should you need periodic adjustments.
